The principle of plasma cutting machine
The working principle of the plasma cutting machine is to melt or vaporize the metal at the cut of the workpiece locally through the heat of the high-temperature plasma arc, and blow the molten or vaporized metal away from the cutting area through the high-speed airflow to achieve cutting. The plasma cutting machine uses a strong current to form an arc discharge between the conductive gas, ionizing the gas to form a high-energy plasma. These plasmas carry a lot of heat and kinetic energy, which are quickly transferred to the surface of the material, causing the local area to heat up quickly and melt or vaporize.
The main components of the plasma cutting machine include power supply, cutting torch and gas supply system. The power supply part is responsible for generating arc discharge, the cutting torch is used to concentrate and guide the plasma arc, and the gas supply system provides working gas and auxiliary gas. Working gases such as argon and nitrogen are used to form plasma arcs and melt metals; auxiliary gases such as oxygen are used to cool the cutting torch and blow away the molten metal.
Precautions for use include safe operation, reasonable adjustment of gas flow and gas pressure, selection of suitable metal materials, and regular maintenance of equipment to ensure cutting quality and service life.
